She did not think of it as a murder, but more of an execution for her freedom.
He offered her a glass of wine. She took it and gulped it down smiling.
He clenched his neck looking unaffected.
No sound escaped his lips as he writhed in pain. His body went limp and he fell to the ground. She felt accomplished. Free.
But then she began to feel something.
Regret? Guilt?
A sense of disorientation, a feeling of agitation in her stomach.
She opened her mouth to cry out but the stab of pain in her gut was breathtaking. Moribund.
