“You have to go.” As i heard those words, i repacked my bags and headed for the door. My little daughter came screaming, “mummy don’t go” behind me and i couldn’t control the tears that trickled down my face. I looked into my husband’s eyes and saw intense anger and a determined mind as he pointed at the door. His new wife came behind him, smiling, and wrapped her arms around his neck. I bent down, whispered few words into my daughter’s ear, and left, shutting the door behind me. I have cancer, and now a stranger in my home.
