January Contest

Cruel Fate.

By January 30, 2019 No Comments

It is 2:42PM and I am starving. I have been sitting by the main entrance to UduaAffiongEtuk market all day. The bowl in front of me is still empty – just like it had been yesterday. A boy about my age stretches his arm and drops a crumpled N100 note in the bowl, but his mother bends and snatches it quickly.
“You are giving money to that ‘Ifot’. Do you know what he will use your money to do?”
I am not a wizard. I used to have a mother, and a father, before the accident.
