Child of Light

As the sun set, Oge was playing with her friends near the edge of the village, her mother had warned her about the dangers but she was a warrior and warriors fear nothing. Deep in her world, a spine shivering shrill echoed through the village, the darkness had come and Oge started to run home. Breaking wood and trembling leaves heralded its arrival and Oge wasn’t fast enough. Arms reaching out for her mother, the darkness enveloped her, choking her, hurting her. In the darkness, a figure of light stood reaching out its fingers a breath away from Oge’s Finger
