ABOUT US

100wordsafrica.com is a monthly microfiction contest where users submit 100-word entries to stand a chance of winning $100 cash prizes.

Two winners are selected monthly: one by popular vote and another by a panel of judges; including Caine Prize winner, Rotimi Babatunde.

By welcoming both amateur and seasoned writers, we aim to get young Africans writing, reading and learning about their continent – and that’s the real reward.

From time to time, we also select exceptional stories to be adapted into 2D animation, comics, audio and short film formats.
